Refund & Return policy

At ALIGNERCO, we want our customers to feel confident when making a purchase. Our policies are designed to be transparent, fair, and customer-friendly. Please review the refund and return terms carefully before placing an order.

We encourage you to consider your decision thoroughly before proceeding, as cancellations and returns are subject to specific conditions outlined below.

1. Order Cancellations

  • You may request a cancellation within 5 days of placing your order.

  • After 5 days, cancellations or refund requests will not be accepted once processing has started.

2. Impression Kits

  • For health and safety reasons, impression kits cannot be returned once used.

  • If you wish to return an unused kit, return shipping will be the customer’s responsibility. Refunds will only be issued after the kit has been inspected.

  • If you decide not to continue after reviewing your smile projection, no refund will be issued.

3. Dental Scans

  • The cost of dental scans is non-refundable, as these fees are paid directly to the dental practices.

  • If you miss a scheduled scan appointment, extra charges will apply for rescheduling.

4. Clear Aligners

  • No returns are accepted once aligners have been manufactured.

  • If the first set of aligners does not fit properly, we will fabricate new ones at no additional cost. However, if you have undergone any dental work after making your impressions, the aligners may not fit, and in such cases, replacements will not be provided for free.

  • If you do not approve your 3D treatment plan/smile projection and choose not to continue, ALIGNERCO will retain the impression kit charges and the transaction processing fee (charges vary depending on payment method).

  • At the end of treatment, if you have followed all required guidelines but are not satisfied with your results, you may request a re-evaluation. To process this, you must provide photos of your teeth with your final step aligners in place. 

  • If approved, you’ll be eligible for additional aligners (refinements). A refinement fee of $300 CAD will apply.

5. Retainers

  • Retainers are non-refundable and non-returnable once manufactured.

  • For retainer-only customers, please note that retainers are fabricated based on the impressions you provide. If your teeth have shifted by the time the retainers are delivered (due to not wearing retainers after previous orthodontic treatment), we cannot be held responsible, and free replacements will not be provided.

  • For existing aligner customers, it is important to continue wearing your last step of aligners or retainers to prevent relapse, as teeth movement can affect the fit of your new retainers. If your retainers do not fit properly, we will re-evaluate fitting and fabricate new ones if approved by ALIGNERCO.

6. Night Guards

  • Due to hygiene reasons, night guards are non-refundable and non-returnable once manufactured and shipped.

  • We are not responsible for fit issues caused by changes in teeth alignment. If your teeth have shifted by the time the night guard is delivered due to not retaining teeth position after previous orthodontic treatment, we cannot be held responsible, and free replacements will not be issued.

7. Sports Mouth Guards

  • Sports mouth guards are non-refundable and non-returnable once shipped.

  • Fit problems resulting from changes in teeth alignment are not our responsibility. If your teeth have shifted by the time the mouth guard is delivered because you did not maintain your teeth position following prior orthodontic treatment, free replacements will not be issued.

8. Whitening Kits & Other Oral Care Products

  • For hygiene reasons, whitening kits and other oral care products are non-returnable and non-refundable once opened or used.

  • If the product is unopened and unused, it may be returned, but return shipping will be the customer’s responsibility.

  • Refunds will only be issued after the product has been inspected (minus any transaction fees).

9. Refund Processing & Transaction Fees

  • All approved refunds are processed within 10–12 business days through your original payment method.

  • A transaction processing fee (non-refundable to us) will be deducted from the refund. The exact amount varies depending on the payment method used.

  • For any approved returns, shipping and handling fees (incurred by the company to send the item) will be deducted from the refund.

  • ALIGNERCO accepts no liability for items lost in transit during return shipping.
